# Calendar

The **Calendar** brings dated event work into one place. It can show events, payments, and tasks together so you can see what is planned for a day, week, or month without opening each event.

Use the Calendar for date-based planning. Use the [Events](/reference/events.md) page to search and manage event records, the [Event Page](/reference/event-page.md) to work on one event, and the [Tasks](/reference/tasks.md) page to review work across events.

The example below shows a populated month with event, payment, and task items, along with the controls for filtering and changing the date view.

## Items on the Calendar

The Calendar can include:

* **Events** with dates and event status. Event entries can include the event name, clients, assignees, tags, and price when prices are shown.
* **Payments** from enabled payment schedules for Booked and Completed events. A payment with a due date different from its schedule can also appear separately.
* **Tasks** with a calculated calendar date. Completed tasks in a completed task group and obsolete tasks are not included.

The item filters at the top let you show or hide **Events**, **Payments**, and **Tasks**. The Calendar uses the active workspace and your account's visibility, so another member may see a different set of items.

## Views and date navigation

Use **Month**, **Week**, or **List** to choose how much of the schedule to see. The previous and next controls move the selected period. **Today** returns the Calendar to the current period. [Navigate Calendar views and dates](/reference/calendar/navigate-calendar-views-and-dates.md) explains these controls.

## Filters and display choices

Use **Event Status** and **Assignee** to narrow the event-related items. **Show Event Prices** controls whether event prices appear on the Calendar. **Week Starts Monday** changes the first day of the month and week grids. You can save the current filter choices as your default view. See [Filter Calendar items](/reference/calendar/filter-calendar-items.md).

## Open item details

Select an event, payment, or task on the Calendar to open its detail dialog. Event and payment details link back to the Event Page. A task opened from the Calendar can be edited in its dialog, including its due-date rule and status. See [Review event, payment, and task details](/reference/calendar/review-event-payment-and-task-details.md).

## Google Calendar sync

The Google Calendar control shows whether the active workspace has a connection. When it is not connected, the menu starts the connection. When it is connected, the menu offers a resync and disconnect choices. A broken connection offers reconnect. See [Connect and manage Google Calendar sync](/reference/calendar/connect-and-manage-google-calendar-sync.md).
