# Update your profile picture

Your profile picture helps teammates recognize you in the places FlowerBuddy shows your account. In **Account Settings**, the **Profile Picture** section shows either your current image or the default no-picture image.

## Choose an image

1. Open **Account Settings** from the profile menu and stay on **Account**.
2. In **Profile Picture**, select the picture itself or select **Upload**. If a picture already exists, the button is labeled **Edit**.
3. Choose one image in the picker.
4. Adjust the square crop, then save the image.

FlowerBuddy uses a square crop, so leave the part of the image you want people to recognize inside the crop area. For example, a team member might use a clear headshot rather than a logo that is hard to distinguish at a small size.

The image picker opens before you choose a file. It is the place to start when you want to add or replace the picture.

## Remove a picture

When an account already has a picture, **Delete** appears beside **Edit**. Select **Delete** to return to the default no-picture state. Removing the picture does not remove the account from a workspace or change its permissions.
