# Change your password

Use **Change Password** when you can sign in but want to set a new password. FlowerBuddy sends the change process to the email already on your account, rather than asking you to enter the old password on the Account tab.

The **Password** section is a safe entry point for the reset process. The request is connected to the Email displayed in **Personal Information**.

## Start the change

1. Open **Account Settings** and select **Account**.
2. In the **Password** section, select **Change Password**.
3. Check the email for the password-change instructions.
4. Open the reset link and enter a new **Password** and **Repeat Password**.
5. Select **Reset Password**.

The new password must be 8 to 50 characters, and **Repeat Password** must match it. When the reset succeeds, FlowerBuddy shows a success state with a way to return to login.

Use an address you can open before starting. The reset link is for that account, so a teammate or workspace owner cannot use this control to choose a new password for another member. If you no longer have access to the account email, this page does not provide a substitute email address or a workspace-management workaround.

If you cannot sign in, use [Reset your password](/reference/account-access/reset-your-password.md) from the Log In page instead. The two entry points use the same reset process, but the Account Settings button fills the request with your current account email.

For security, this flow is completed through the emailed reset link. A workspace owner cannot change another member's password from Workspace Settings.
